Circular Conversations is an independent and decentralised community platform showcasing solutions for systemic change. We tell stories of change to promote the diffusion of ideas and practices able to move us forward in the transition towards a regenerative and distributive economy. We contribute to a new narrative able to shape mindsets and behaviours fit for a resilient and prosperous future.
Building upon our vision of systemic change, we aim at engaging local communities and global citizens through our work at the intersection of four pillars: science, entrepreneurship, art and community engagement. Once seemingly disconnected worlds, these forces are now back home to contaminate each other and collaborate for change.
SCIENCE
Research Series
Science is our foundation, our reality check above ideologies and political interests. It’s evidence, data and causality. Science is an informed debate striving for consensus. And when it comes to climate change and environmental destruction, the consensus is overwhelming: it’s happening. Large scale. Human caused. We’re running out of time.
With the Research Series, we wish to offer researchers a platform where to present their innovative research and translate it into transformative ideas. As an amplifier, we aim to communicate complex, in-depth research in an accessible and informative format. To educate, inspire and contribute to a constructive societal dialogue. Our Series is composed of the Young Researchers—a space open to the young cohort of researchers—and the Research Challenges—a place for senior researchers to share their own challenges and contested topics and begin participatory research conversations.
We are taking academia out of academia, for the sake of academia. And, most importantly, society.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Pioneers
Entrepreneurship is not about doing something new, it’s about doing something different. It’s about creating recognisable and lasting change. But, nowadays, merely doing something different is not enough. We need that ‘different’ to create social, economic and environmental value. Value for the system.
With the Pioneers, we shed a light on global innovation champions—from startups to large organisations—who are pioneering the way to a regenerative and distributive economy. The name of the series is inspired by the pioneer species we find in nature: those organisms able to colonise bare, lifeless areas and begin an ecological community. Similarly, the companies showcased here are on a journey to colonise the outdated, extractive, linear economy in order to allow for a regenerative one to establish and flourish.
Being a pioneer is not about having it all right and tidy. It’s about the audacity to explore chaotic and uncertain paths, and use the power of human innovation to create enabling conditions for a fundamentally different future. With our pioneers, the soil is becoming fertile. For a new ecology to thrive.
ART
Art Is Change
We live in a world facing unprecedented problems. We have the data, the science, the technology and the money. Yet, reality tells us that facts and numbers are not enough: change is not happening at the speed required. Logic and evidence will not win this battle for change alone. They never did. We need to move emotions and shake our collective consciousness.
With the Art Is Change series, we provide a global podium for artists with a social mission to be a driving force for social and cultural change. Something art has been doing since its very early days, in societies around the world. Colours, shapes, lines, movements, and concepts are again at the service of a more inclusive, fair and cooperative world.
This is not about art for the sake of art. It’s about art as an engine of systemic change.

Earth Heroes
Our heroes don’t wear capes, don’t live in Hollywood and don’t count followers on social media. Our heroes work silently—yet incredibly powerfully—inside communities around the world. They create lasting value through bottom-up, participatory, and inclusive action. Our heroes work to preserve and regenerate natural ecosystems, to educate the uneducated, to foster collaboration, to use the power of social innovation to enhance wellbeing and create a resilient future for their communities.
With the Earth Heroes series, we embark on an exploration journey through communities around the world to look for these heroes and tell their stories of change. Not because they asked us to, but because in this way they can inspire all of us. To feel again as part of a community. To feel again the responsibility for our community. To remind us of the power of small actions coming together to create scale. From a local act to a global impact.
And we work relentlessly on knowledge generation and exchange.
